Senior Consultant

"What motivates me is taking a solution-oriented approach to complex social and political challenges, enabling me to support clients in the best possible way."

Leander den Boer has been with Publyon since 2022. He provides strategic advice to clients across various sectors, focusing on technology, innovation, and future earning capacity. He previously spent an extended period on secondment at a major tech company and led the tech team.

He holds a Master’s degree in History (Politics, Culture, and National Identities) from Leiden University. For his thesis, he explored the history of the “prime minister bonus”—the potential electoral advantage enjoyed by an incumbent prime minister. Prior to this, he completed Bachelor’s degrees in History and Film and Literary Studies at Leiden University and undertook an internship at ProDemos.

Leander currently serves as Secretary of the board of the BVPA (the professional association for public affairs) and chairs its Europe Committee. He has also held various roles within the political party D66, including Secretary for the South Holland branch. Additionally, he interned at Publyon in 2020. Beyond his keen interest in politics, he is passionate about film; in his spare time, he enjoys going to the cinema, writing film reviews, and running.
