Ilona Heijkoop has been working at Publyon since 2019. She started as a financial controller with extensive financial expertise, but she also aspired to pursue a different growth path. Alongside her work, she began studying law and is now also working as a public affairs consultant. The combination of her financial, political, and legal knowledge makes her a valuable sparring partner for colleagues and clients on various issues.
Within Publyon, Ilona is a member of the Tech Team, where she focuses on the responsible use of AI and algorithms in relation to human rights. As a controller, she works closely with the management team and is responsible for financial reporting and analysis, tax filings, and preparing the annual financial statements.
In her free time, Ilona is committed to human rights with a focus on international criminal law, enjoys visiting museums, and has a passion for traveling.
