Since August, Iris has been supporting Publyon’s clients with political monitoring, policy analysis and strategic advice. She got to know politics from different angles, from the municipal council to the European arena. Her social engagement shows in her work at the Netherlands Institute for Human Rights, where she worked on policy advice on AI, migration and healthcare. At the West Wing Think Tank, she researched what geopolitical developments in the Caribbean mean for the foreign policy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Iris studied International Relations in Groningen, European Law in Leiden and Advanced European and International Studies at the Centre International de Formation Européenne. For the latter, she lived in Nice, Berlin and Istanbul in turn. There she saw how perspectives that at first seemed to clash strongly were in fact closer together than expected. She draws energy from finding common ground between interests that do not naturally meet, and builds solutions on that.
Outside of work, you will find Iris travelling, immersed in a book, cooking or at pilates. Most of all, she loves being outdoors in the company of friends and family.
