Jan Van Braeken is a senior public affairs professional with a track record of navigating complex political landscapes at both EU and Belgian levels. His expertise lies at the intersection of political strategy, cross-sector coalition building, and strategic policy outreach, with a strong focus on digital and tech dossiers.
Prior to joining Publyon, Jan served as Project Leader during the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU, where he led key initiatives surrounding social affairs and homelessness. In this capacity, he seamlessly liaised between complex national and EU institutional structures, aligning competing stakeholder interests to advance critical socioeconomic and housing policy frameworks.
His previous experience at Belgium’s Permanent Representation to the EU and the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) provided him with deep, hands-on expertise as a campaign strategist, stakeholder manager and policy officer working on issues such as economic growth and digital innovation.
Fluent in Dutch, French, and English, Jan also possesses a working knowledge of German and Spanish.
