Matthijs has been an intern at Publyon since August. He follows political developments closely and has a strong interest in political communication.
Matthijs obtained a Master’s degree in Political Science at Radboud University, specialising in conflict studies and international relations. He wrote his thesis on populist rhetoric in the German elections. Alongside his studies, Matthijs was active in his study association, spent a year on the board of a student sports umbrella organisation and worked as a teaching assistant.
In his spare time, Matthijs likes to stay active. He enjoys fitness, football and swimming, and he also likes to read.
