Mees Drielsma recently started as a Public Affairs intern at Publyon. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and Organization Science and the first-year in Law. He is currently completing his Master’s double-degree in European Governance at Utrecht University and Masaryk University (Brno, Czech Republic). He previously worked for the municipality of Amersfoort, Utrecht University, and the Stichting Onderwijsconsulenten (Education Consultants Foundation). As part of his studies, he organized a research project on Aruba and supported international students in finding their way in Utrecht.
Mees has a broad interest in local, national, and international politics and creating social value. At Publyon, he wants to explore the dynamic field of Public Affairs. He finds it particularly appealing to engage with people from diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
In his free time, Mees enjoys sports; he runs and goes to the gym. He also enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and good music, especially rock from the 80s and 90s.
