As an intern at Publyon, Salim follows current political affairs, delves into a wide range of dossiers and supports consultants with clear, useful information. During his internship, he is developing his ability to quickly get to the heart of political and social issues and translate them into strategic insights.
Salim studies Political Science at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Before that, he spent a year studying Public Administration at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, where he was first introduced to public affairs during an internship with the Strategy & Public Affairs team of the municipality of Leiden. He was also a member, and later chair, of the Youth Council of the municipality of Amersfoort, and he is currently chair of the VVD Eemland. In both roles, he gained experience in carefully weighing diverging interests, combining different perspectives and engaging with a range of stakeholders.
In his spare time, Salim can be found at the gym, and he enjoys spending time with friends.
