Leander den Boer has been employed as a Consultant at Publyon since 2022, having previously done an internship here. Leander advises clients from various sectors, with a prime focus on the policy areas tech and digitalisation. He has been seconded to a large tech client for a longer period and is the lead of the Tech team. He is also part of Het Innovatiecollectief (The Innovation Collective), a partnership of Publyon together with ADC and Hooghiemstra & Partners. They help organizations make a social impact with ethically responsible data solutions.
Leander completed the master’s degree in History: Politics, Culture and National Identities at Leiden University. For his thesis, he delved into the history of the prime minister’s ‘bonus,’ the advantage that a prime minister may have at election time. Before his master’s degree, Leander completed his bachelor’s degree in History and Film and Literature Studies at Leiden University. During his studies, he was a member of various committees, councils and boards at the Faculty of Humanities and the History Study Association. He also did an internship at ProDemos.
Leander is currently the secretary for D66 in Zuid-Holland. Here, he was a part of the campaign team for the 2023 provincial elections. In addition to an exceptionally strong interest in everything related to politics, he is also a passionate film buff. In his spare time, he likes to go to the cinema and go running.
