Leander den Boer has been employed at Publyon since 2022. He previously was an intern here. He provides strategic advice to clients across various sectors, focusing on technology, innovation, and digitalization. Leander has been seconded to a large tech company for an extended period and led the tech team. He is also part of Het Innovatiecollectief, a partnership between Publyon, ADC, and Hooghiemstra & Partners that helps organizations make a social impact with ethically responsible data solutions.
He completed his Master’s degree in History: Politics, Culture, and National Identities at Leiden University. For his thesis, he explored the history of the prime minister’s bonus, the potential advantage a prime minister enjoys during elections. Prior to this, Leander completed Bachelor’s degrees in History and Film and Literary Studies at Leiden University. He also completed an internship at ProDemos.
Leander currently serves as secretary of the board of the BVPA, the Association for Public Affairs, and chairs its European Committee. He is also secretary of the D66 party in South Holland and was part of the campaign team for the 2023 Provincial Council elections. Besides an avid interest in all things political, he also has a passion for films. In his free time, he enjoys going to the cinema, writing film reviews, and running.
