The role
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with previous policy experience in the aviation sector.
In this role, you will work with our clients – mostly but not exclusively – in the aviation industry – helping them develop and implement impactful public affairs strategies and campaigns. You will work in small project teams and act as a day-to-day point of contact for our clients.
Your responsibilities
- Analysing EU policy developments that impact our clients’ activities. Topics that you could work on include: clean industry strategy, competitiveness, sustainable transport, social issues;
- Providing strategic advice to a wide range of clients, including corporates, SMEs, public authorities, in the field of (air) transport;
- Developing and executing public affairs and communication strategies and campaigns to achieve our clients’ objectives;
- Liaising with relevant stakeholders across the EU institutions;
- Taking a proactive role in identifying business opportunities and contributing to business proposals;
- Increasing Publyon’s external visibility in the field of (air) transport;
- Managing and coaching junior colleagues and support them in providing top-quality services.
Who are you?
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in the aviation sector in Brussels (public affairs consultancy, industry, trade association or an EU institution);
- Good understanding of the aviation industry;
- University level education (Master’s degree), preferably in an area related to European studies, political sciences, economics or law;
- Ability to work with a diverse client portfolio, cope with multiple priorities and coordinate the activities with your colleagues;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Excellent analytical skills;
- Business acumen;
- Proficiency in English, and at least one other language (French and German are assets);
